Honor

Honor is a technology brand originally launched by Huawei in 2013, aimed at providing high-quality, affordable smartphones targeted at younger audiences. Initially, the brand operated as a sub-brand under Huawei, sharing much of its technology and software ecosystem. However, in 2020, due to U.S. trade restrictions on Huawei, which hindered its ability to access critical technologies, Huawei decided to sell Honor to a consortium of Chinese companies to ensure its survival and growth. This separation allowed Honor to operate independently, regaining access to key partnerships with suppliers like Google, Qualcomm, and Intel, which were restricted under Huawei.

Since the separation, Honor has expanded its product lineup beyond smartphones to include tablets, laptops, and wearable devices, emphasising innovative design and powerful specs. It continues to grow as a competitive global brand, leveraging its regained access to international markets and advanced technology.
