Dell Pro 14 and Pro 14 Plus launched in Nepal with both Intel and AMD CPUs!

Dell has launched two new midrange laptops in its revamped 14 Pro series. It is basically a "Latitude Series" laptop, but with Dell's new confusing naming scheme. So in this article, we will discuss all the features and specifications, including the official price of the Dell Pro 14 series in Nepal.

Dell Pro 14 and Pro 14 Plus Overview

Design and display

Starting with the design, the Dell Pro 14 series seems like your typical entry-level business laptop. It comes in either a  "Platinum Silver" or a textured "Magnetite" finish. Dell also says this laptop has been MIL-STD tested for durability, while both the Pro 14 and Pro 14 plus are pretty lightweight at just 1.35 kg.

About the display, both variants feature a basic 14-inch FHD+ IPS panel with up to 300 nits of brightness and a 45% NTSC color gamut, which is decent for casual video watching or even some color-critical tasks. This panel also has an anti-glare finish and features an FHD camera on top.

Performance

For performance, the regular Dell Pro 14 series comes with the refreshed Intel "Raptor Lake" Series 1 processor, which is quite decent for everyday tasks, whereas the Dell Pro 14 Plus series features newer Core Ultra Series 2 chips, especially the Ultra 5 235U and Ultra 7 255U. Both CPUs have the same 12 cores and 14 threads; the difference is only the boost clock: the Ultra 5 maxes at 4.9 GHz, while the Ultra 7 maxes at 5.2 GHz. Both chips can easily handle your day-to-day tasks without issue, but if you are more of a power user, you should opt for the Ultra 7 variant.

For GPUs, we have to rely on integrated GPUs, which can handle basic to low-level gaming. Talking about the memory, it's available up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of NVMe storage.

Battery and connectivity

For the battery, we get either a 45 or 55 Wh unit, which Dell says should last up to 10.3 hours. And when you need to charge it, the Dell Pro 14 series ships with a 65W AC adapter.

For wireless connectivity, the Dell 14 Pro supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. It also has plenty of ports, highlighted by one Thunderbolt 4, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, a couple of USB-A, one HDMI 2.1, and one RJ45 Ethernet connection. There is also a wedge-shaped lock slot to safeguard your device from quick theft attempts.
