Honor just launched the Honor 500 series in China yesterday. The lineup, previously known for strong performance and portrait-focused cameras, is now refreshed for 2025. The phones will make their way to Nepal soon. Now, let’s jump in this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Honor 500, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Honor 500 Overview
Display and Design

The Honor 500 has a flat 6.55-inch LTPO OLED display, which replaces the curved panel of the Honor 400. It offers 2736 × 1264 FHD+ resolution, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 6000 nits peak brightness. Similarly, the Bezels are also really thin at 1.05mm. The rear uses a new Apple-style camera visor, and replaces the rounded module from the 400 series. The build is glass and aluminum. But the phone is also at the same time heavier than the 400 due to the larger battery and stronger construction. Honor has also improved the durability of this guy's IP68, IP69, and IP69K protection, instead of the IP65, we saw in the Honor 400.
Performance and Software
The Honor 500 features the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 found in the Honor 400. A 16GB RAM option is available, along with larger storage variants. And to talk about the chip, the SD 8s Gen 4 is very good chipset, and it coming in a base model is genuinely a good deal. Similarly, it runs MagicOS 10.0 based on Android 16. Although no information has been provided regarding the potential updates the Honor 500 will receive.

Camera

The camera has always been the major aspect of this series. But Honor hasn’t really made those kinds of big changes in its optics department. The main rear camera remains the same as last year with 200MP, and the ultrawide is 12MP. Although they did improve image stabilization, and the front camera now has a 3D depth sensor in addition to the existing 50MP sensor. Similarly, Video recording remains at 4K for the front camera.
Battery and Charging
Another enticing specs of the Honor 500 is the fact that it now has a massive 8000mAh Si-C battery, up from 6000mAh in the Honor 400. Plus, It supports 80W wired charging and 27W reverse wired charging.
The phone adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and broader GNSS support compared to the Honor 400. Moreover, 5G SA/NSA, NFC, infrared, and USB-C audio are also supported.
