Honor 600e 5G looks premium — but the specs tell a different story.

It's been some time since Honor has officially unveiled the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro in the global market. And yet again, they added the new member—the Honor 600e 5G—to the 600 series. While the phone offers a premium design and a good battery, some compromises may make it less appealing compared to rivals in the same segment. In this article, I will discuss the Honor 600e in detail, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Key Highlights
- Honor 600e 5G features a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming.
- The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Elite chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
- It packs a massive 6520mAh battery with 45W fast charging and 6W reverse wired charging support.
- The device also offers an IP66 rating, a slim 7.3mm design, and MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
Honor 600e 5G Overview
Performance and Software
To start, the Honor 600e 5G uses the mid-range MediaTek Dimensity 7100 Elite, built on a 6nm process. This chip has an octa-core architecture clocked at 2.4GHz, making it well-suited to handle heavier tasks, apps, and multitasking. Here, you can expect to handle everyday tasks and multitask on this device, with minimal struggle when switching between apps.

And if you are looking for this phone for gaming, it can handle heavy games like PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and COD at medium graphics settings. However, if you try to max out graphics or play incredibly demanding titles like Genshin Impact, you might notice some frame drops on mid-range phones like the Infinix Note Edge. Instead of buying it for gaming, you can go with a better option like the Poco F8 Pro or the Poco X8 Pro Max.
In terms of memory, the Honor 600e 5G currently only offers 8GB of RAM and a 512GB storage option. Whereas for software, it runs on MagicOS 10 on top of Android 16. Though there are no details about the updates, it's like other phones in the 600 series. This means you can expect at least 4 years of OS Updates and security patches.
Familiar design and display
For design, the Honor 600e 5G pairs an aluminum frame with a matte-finish glass back that comes with SGS 5-Star Drop resistance certification. It has also managed to maintain a slim profile with a 7.34mm thickness and weighs 180 grams, making it light enough to use for long hours without causing much hand fatigue. The back of the phone has a square camera island housing two lenses and a ring-shaped LED flash. This device also has an IP66 rating, so you don't have to worry about accidental splashes of water. And you can choose between “Vital Green”, “Desert Gold”, and “Velvet Gray” finishes.

Moving on to the display, this phone feels quite familiar. Actually, Honor has reused the display we recently saw on the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro, but with a larger screen. The Honor 600e 5G has a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, which feels slightly underwhelming given its relatively high price.
Also, scrolling should be smooth enough thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate. The 2,000-nit HBM mode also ensures good outdoor visibility, while the 6500-nit peak provides a better HDR content-watching experience. Moreover, Honor offers high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming to prevent eye strain during extended use.

The camera is a major downer
Among all the trade-offs, the optics setup in the Honor 600e 5G might be the major deal-breaker. Here, they pair the 108MP f/1.8 primary sensor with the 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera. Here, the missing telephoto lens is a major drawback, as other phones in the lower price range, like the Vivo V70 and the Nothing Phone 4a Pro, have it. Up front, you get a 16MP f/2.5 sensor that delivers decent selfies in good lighting.

In terms of the battery, this phone packs a 6520mAh capacity and supports 45W wired charging for a quick top-up. Additionally, it supports 6W reverse-wired charging. With casual usage, Honor claims it can last up to 2 days. And for wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 6.0, along with NFC for contactless payments.
