With every other brand getting into the rush of launching new phones, Honor has also taken the curtains off from the Honor Magic 6 Series. Here, we'll be talking about the vanilla Honor Magic 6, its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.

      Honor Magic 6 Overview:

      Design and Display

The Magic 6 boasts a flat frame design with slightly curved edges. The metal frame is 8.1mm thick, while the phone weighs 206 grams. The rear side looks aesthetically pleasing with the circular camera module housed in a square metal frame. Honor ships this guy in five shades: Qilian Snow, Sea Lake Green, Wheat Wave Green, Flowing Cloud Purple, and Velvet Black.

Upfront, you are greeted with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This slightly curved panel boasts minimum bezels for a symmetrical look. It is rich feature-wise too. You get a 4320Hz PWM dimming, HDR 10+ certified, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support.

      Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Under the hood, the Honor Magic 6 leverages Qualcomm's latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This chip consists of a Cortex-X4 that can go up to 3.3GHz, five Cortex-A720 cores with a max frequency of 3.2GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores clocking at 3.2GHz. And most important of all, Qualcomm's Hexagon NPU for AI processing.

Honor has paired this chip with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Booting the smartphone is Honor's MagicOS 8 built on top of Android 14.

      Camera

As for the optics, the Honor Magic 6 sports a triple camera setup. It is headlined by a 50MP OmniVision OVH900 camera with OIS. Then there is a 50MP Ultrawide unit and a 32MP telephoto lens (OIS) with a 2.5X optical zoom and 100X digital zoom capabilities. Over on the front, you get a 50MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

      YOYO Assistant

Moreover, the smartphone has a new virtual assistant. Powered by a large language model (LLM), the YOYO assistant uses the Snapdragon AI chip (basically the NPU) for in-house processing. It can adjust templates, themes, and music with voice prompts. Plus, the AI can also create a short montage from photos and videos in your storage with a command.

      Battery and Others

Fueling the flagship phone is a 5,450mAh battery with 66W Honor super fast charging support. You can also wireless charge it with up to 50W speed. Likewise, the connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 7, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port. And the biometrics security is handled by an indisplay fingerprint reader.
