HONOR Play 11 launched with 8,300mAh battery, Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 & IP69K!

HONOR has now completed its Play 11 lineup with the official launch of the standard HONOR Play 11 in China. The company had already introduced the HONOR Play 11 Plus and Play 11 Pro, giving the series options across different segments. Now, the standard Play 11 joins the lineup as a more affordable option.

Despite being the entry-level model in the series, the Play 11 still comes with a few features that are hard to overlook, including a massive battery, a 120Hz display, and strong durability ratings. It also brings a dedicated AI button and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset.

HONOR Play 11 Overview

Design and Build

The HONOR Play 11 keeps things fairly practical, with a large body designed around its sizeable battery and display. It measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.30mm and weighs 216.5 grams.

The phone is available in four color options: Desert Gold, Mist Purple, Meteor Silver, and Phantom Black.

Durability is another major focus. The Play 11 carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance. It also has an SGS Gold Label five-star certification for drop and compression resistance, with HONOR claiming protection against drops from up to 2.5 meters.

Display

The HONOR Play 11 features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1592 x 720 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and everyday navigation feel smoother than a standard 60Hz display.

It can reach up to 1,020 nits in HBM mode and also supports DC dimming, eye comfort mode, and a natural light-like display setting. So, while this is not an OLED panel like the one on the Pro model, HONOR has still added a few display-focused features beyond the basic specifications.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the Play 11 is powered by Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, depending on the configuration.

The phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10.0 out of the box. HONOR has also added a dedicated AI button, which provides quick access to several AI-powered functions.

A single press can be used to identify and dismiss pop-up windows, while the button also provides access to features such as Any Door, remote assistance, and AI face-swap detection.

Cameras

For photography, the HONOR Play 11 features a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The camera setup is fairly straightforward for a phone in this segment, covering everyday photography, selfies, and video calls without adding a long list of extra lenses.

Battery and Charging

The biggest highlight of the HONOR Play 11 is arguably its battery. The phone packs a massive 8,300mAh cell, which is larger than the 7,000mAh battery found on both the Play 11 Plus and Play 11 Pro.

It supports 45W wired charging through USB Type-C. HONOR also says the battery is designed to maintain its health over a period of six years under specified laboratory conditions.

Audio and Other Features

The Play 11 comes with stereo speakers and a high-volume mode that can boost the audio output by up to 400%, according to HONOR.

For security, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and dual Nano-SIM support.

HONOR Play 11 Price in Nepal and Availability

The HONOR Play 11 is currently available in China in three memory configurations, starting at CNY 1,399 for the 6/128GB variant. The 8/128GB and 8/256GB versions are priced at CNY 1,599 and CNY 1,899, respectively.

HONOR has not announced its global availability yet, but if the phone makes its way to Nepal, we expect the HONOR Play 11 price in Nepal to start at around NPR 31,999.
