Honor has officially announced their latest smartwatch: the GS 5 in China. They regard this watch as the next-generation health-focused wearable. Design and Display
To talk about the design, the Honor Watch GS 5 retains the signature circular dial of the GS series but is noticeably more compact. It features a remarkably slim 9.9mm profile and weighs just 26 grams. Which, by the way, is 20 grams lighter than its predecessor.
While Honor has not officially confirmed the display specs, the watch appears to stick with the high-quality 1.43-inch AMOLED panel (466 x 466 resolution) used in previous models.
Heart Health Features
The headliner is its advanced cardiovascular monitoring. Honor claims an industry-first "Sudden Cardiac Arrest Screening" function. This tool analyzes heart rhythm data and physiological signals to identify high-risk irregularities.
Additionally, the watch also introduces a Cardiovascular Risk Assessment tool. And unlike basic heart rate monitors, this system evaluatesoverall heart health trends over time and provides early alerts for long-term risks as well. But Honor is also strict that these tools are not intended for medical diagnosis, but merely for support and awareness purpose.

Besides, Honor has also upped their game in the battery segment. It offers up to 23 days of battery life in Bluetooth mode, which is a massive upgrade from the 14-day limit of the GS 4.
On the software side, the Watch GS 5 integrates features such as specialized reminders for flights, high-speed trains, and taxi bookings, and so on. Other than that, it follows the same standard suite of health features like standard health tracking, SpO2 monitoring, stress analysis, sleep tracking, etc.
