HP has kicked off 2026 with a new addition to its gaming lineup in India. This time it's the HP HyperX Omen 15 series launching on India's Republic Day, yesterday. The series is built featuring NVIDIA's latest Blackwell-based RTX 50-series graphics and some new AI optimizations. Performance

The Omen 15 is powered by the Intel Core i7-14650HX, a 16-core beast capable of hitting 5.2 GHz. For the first time, HP includes up to 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM as a standard configuration. It is paired with the anticipated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-Series GPUs, featuring RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 (8GB GDDR7). A standout feature is the massive 170W Total Graphics Power (TGP) in "Unleash Mode," which means this guy can handle the most demanding AAA titles with top-class performance. It also introduces 8K polling rate technology, which reduces input latency to 0.125 ms.

Display

On the display side, you will be introduced to a 15-inch 2.5K display that boasts a 180Hz refresh rate and 500 nits of peak brightness. Similarly, HP has also integrated the Omen Tempest Cooling system, which now features self-cleaning fans that prevent the dust buildup that often plagues gaming laptops. Additionally, the laptop also features One-Touch Omen AI, which automatically scans and adjusts system settings in real-time based on your specific usage patterns.

Battery and Rest

The laptop is equipped with a 70 Wh 4-cell battery, whereas, it also supports HP Fast Charge, and can take the battery from 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes. For connectivity, it features varities of ports that include a USB Type-C (10Gbps) port with Power Delivery 3.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, among other stuff.

The rest of the feature is pretty much a standard suite. You get a 1080p FHD camera with an HDR auto-switch. For data protection, you get Firmware TPM support and a dedicated privacy shutter for the webcam, and so on.
