We don’t get to see too many SKUs of the Pavilion series in Nepal so it’s early Christmas every time something comes along. Recently, a 2024 variant of the Pavilion Plus has made it to Nepal. So, here let’s take a quick peek at the specs and features of the HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2024) alongside its price in Nepal and availability.
HP Pavilion Plus 14 (2024) Overview
Design and Display
The Pavilion Plus features a premium feeling build with an aluminum lid and chassis weighing just 1.44 kg. It’s a 14” ultrabook measuring around 12.36” wide and around 9” deep with the main focus on being a lightweight personal computer. As such, it’s pretty slim and lightweight but still packs a punch in terms of performance and battery life. This particular variant has three different colorways: Pink, Blue, Silver, but only the latter is commonly available in most markets.
In terms of display, the Pavilion Plus 14 can sport up to a 2.8K OLED or IPS screen and both variants are now available in Nepal. Regardless, both are 16:10 screens with ‘eyesafe certification’ and a modern looking 88% screen to body ratio. Moreover, you get variable refresh rate from 48Hz to 120Hz with low blue light, 300/400 nits of brightness, and full coverage of all sRGB/DCI-P3 colors.
Performance and Memory
Powering this ultrabook is the ‘Core Ultra 100’ series Meteor Lake processors from Intel, while you can pick up an AMD equipped one as well. This particular model has the base Core Ultra 5 125H with 14 cores made up of 4 Performance, 8 Efficiency, and 2 Low Power efficiency cores. The prime core can peak at 4.5GHz while the other cores (E) max out at around the 3.6 GHz mark. Since it’s an ultrabook, there’s no discrete graphics but upgraded Intel Arc inside (@ 2.2GHz) should be plenty for light gaming and editing needs.
In terms of memory, the Pavilion Plus ships with soldered RAM out of the box, but luckily there’s an ample 32 gigs of it. For storage, it has a 512GB M.2 NVME SSD.
Battery and Connectivity
Under the hood, there’s a 68Wh Lithium cell that’s quoted for up to 12 hours and 30 minutes of battery life. In a simple video playback test, the Pavilion lasts up to a whopping 20 hours and 15 minutes so expect awesome battery life on this unit! For ports, you get two Type-A ports, one Thunderbolt 4 alongside one normal USB-C. Finally, there’s HDMI and an audio combo jack with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth for wireless connectivity.
