Huawei Watch 5 comes in two sizes: 46 mm and 42 mm. The 46 mm model includes three aerospace-grade titanium variants and one stainless steel version. The 42 mm variant is available only in stainless steel. Both models use sapphire glass for display protection.
Display and Color
The 46 mm version features a 1.43-inch display, while the 42 mm version has a 1.32-inch display. The color finish is achieved through an oxidation-based process.
Sensors and Health Tracking
The Watch 5 uses a new X-Tap sensor system, combining pressure sensor, fingertip PPG, and ECG electrode. It measures smaller arterial blood flow for better tracking.
In addition, the Health Glance feature tracks nine metrics in 60 seconds, including heart rate, ECG, SpO₂, stress, and sleep breathing.
Gesture Controls and Connectivity
Users can control the device using double slide or tap gestures of the thumb and index finger. This applies to alarms, calls, native music playback, and camera shutter (EMUI phones only). The watch supports eSIM , Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth. It works with EMUI, Android, and iOS.

Modes and Battery
There are two modes: Standard Mode and Ultra-Long Battery Life Mode. Standard Mode keeps all features active, while the battery mode disables most features but keeps health tracking. Mode switching takes a few seconds. Charging takes 60 minutes for the 42 mm model and 90 minutes for the 46 mm. The Watch 5 supports over 100 sports modes.
