Infinix is gearing up to launch the GT 50 Pro, the successor to last year's GT 30 Pro gaming phone. The phone is expected to launch soon in India, though Infinix hasn't confirmed an official date yet. This article will discuss what we know about the Infinix GT 50 Pro so far and what to expect based on its predecessor.

      Performance and Chipset

The Geekbench listing reveals the GT 50 Pro runs on a chipset with a CPU configuration of 1 core at 3.25GHz, 3 cores at 3.00GHz, and 4 cores at 2.10GHz, paired with a Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. That matches the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, which would be an incremental step up from the GT 30 Pro's Dimensity 8350 Ultimate.

The GT 50 Pro listed on Geekbench is also running 12GB of RAM, though Infinix will likely offer multiple configurations at launch. Similarly, the phone will run on Android 16 out of the box.

      Display

Infinix hasn't revealed display specs yet, but given the GT 50 Pro is a gaming phone, the display will likely hover around a similar size of 6.7 to 6.8 inches. The GT 30 Pro featured a 6.78-inch LTPS AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,600-2,000 nits peak brightness. Expect the GT 50 Pro to keep the 144Hz refresh rate at minimum, with a possibility of pushing to 165Hz if Infinix wants to compete with other gaming phones in the segment. The AMOLED panel should also return, likely with similar or slightly improved brightness levels.

      Battery

The GT 30 Pro packed a 5,500mAh battery. But given the increasing battery competition in the market, Honor's Win series features a 10,000mAh battery, and almost everyone's packing 7,500mAh batteries and above, it's reasonable to expect Infinix might upgrade the GT 50 Pro's battery capacity. A jump to 6,500-7,000mAh wouldn't be surprising, especially if Infinix is using silicon-carbon battery technology like many Chinese brands have adopted.
