Last month Infinix launched the Hot 50 (5G) smartphone with Dimensity 6300 chipset on board. Now the company has launched a 4G-only variant as well with MediaTek Helio G100 chipset and Infinix AI capabilities. In this article, we will be looking at the Infinix Hot 50 4G in further detail, including its expected price in Nepal.
Infinix Hot 50 4G Overview
Design and Display
The Infinix Hot 50 4G looks one-to-one to its 5G counterpart. It comes with flat frames and flat edges and has eye-catching squircle camera cutouts. Furthermore, the lenses definitely give this phone a fresh and unique look. This phone is available in different sets of colours too, those being Sleek Black, Sage Green, and Titanium Grey.
On the front, the Infinix Hot 50 4G has a 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD+ resolution. The screen offers three levels of smoothness at 60Hz, 90Hz, and 120Hz. In the meantime, it is capable of a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz while the instantaneous touch responsiveness is much higher at 1,200Hz. Other than that, the phone offers 800 nits of typical brightness and covers 85% NTSC colour space. Infinix also mentions wet and greasy touch support, which also hints that the Hot 50 4G is water resistant to some extent. However, no IP rating has been assigned.
Performance and Infinix AI
You get the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset under the hood with 6nm fabbing and 430,000+ AnTuTu score. It is assisted by up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. This phone also offers expandability options with DRE (Dynamic RAM Expansion) and a dedicated slot for a microSD card of up to 2TB. With all this, Infinix Hot 50 4G apparently offers 90FPS gaming on two popular titles — FreeFire and Mobile Legends Bang Bang. Powering you through is a 5,000 mAh battery with up to 18W charging support. Additionally, you get features like Bypass charging, Overnight charging protection, and Charging liquid detection to help you preserve battery health.
Infinix Hot 50 4G comes with Infinix AI which has been divided into AI Creation and AI Life categories. The former allows you to play around with images such as object removal, sticker cutouts, and image generation. Likewise, AI Life consists of things like Folax (AI voice assistant), text summarisation and generation, and voice-assisted photo shutter.
In terms of optics, the Infinix Hot 50 4G also comes with a 50MP primary shooter. However, it swaps out the Sony IMX582 sensor on the 5G model for a smaller Samsung sensor. The rear camera lineup has two more lenses, but the kind of those is not yet known. On the other hand, we have an 8MP snapper on the front.
