Vivo sub-brand iQOO launched a new smartphone, however, it’s almost the same as the Vivo T3 Lite, and the Vivo Y28s 5G by extension. Regardless, we will look further into the IQOO Z9 Lite 5G in this article, including its expected price in Nepal.
iQOO Z9 Lite 5G Overview
Design and Display
The iQOO Z9 Lite 5G comes in a flat frame with slightly curved edges. It has a rounded rectangular camera island that houses two circular cutouts. In the meantime, this phone is available in Mocha Brown and Aqua Flow colour options. The former has a plain monotone finish while the latter comes with wave-like patterns. It also boasts an IP64 water and dust resistance.
In terms of screen, this phone has a 6.56-inch LCD panel. It stretches HD+ in resolution and offers a 90Hz refresh rate, as well as 840 nits of peak brightness. Other than that, the screen is TÜV Rheinland-certified for Low Blue Light exposure.
Performance
Under the helm of the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It comes with eight cores on a 6nm fabrication process. Likewise, it has two types of cores each clocking in at a maximum of 2.4GHz and 2.0 GHz.
Additionally, this smartphone can have 4GB or 6GB of RAM coupled with 128GB internal storage. Meanwhile, it offers virtual RAM expansion of double the capacity and external storage support of up to 1TB. Software-wise, it boots on Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.

Camera and the rest
The cameras on this phone include a 50MP primary shooter with a Sony sensor on the back. It is assisted by another 2MP lens that is utilised to better the bokeh effects on the photos you’ve taken. Similarly, the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G carries an 8MP camera on the front.
In the tank, it has a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W charging support. It comes with dual SIM, 5G cellular, WiFi 5, Bluetooth v5.4, and five-way navigation support. Despite being an affordable phone, it misses out on the 3.5mm headphone jack. However, it does come with a stereo speaker setup, along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and some nifty software features like the RAM saver, and App Retainer.

This phone was announced in India on 15 July 2024 and will go live on the 20th. As I mentioned earlier, this phone is merely a repackaging of the Vivo T3 Lite, which is also available in India. Given that, the pricing of the iQOO Z9 Lite is also the same as the Vivo set starting at INR 10,499. If this phone arrives here, we expect the iQOO Z9 Lite 5G price in Nepal to start at NPR 17,999.
