Another pair of JBL earbuds with a touch-screen case... JBL Live Buds 3 unveiled at CES

JBL has announced its Live 3 series of TWS earbuds with a.... touchscreen? Yep! Similar to what we saw in last year’s Tour Pro 2, Live Buds 3; Flex 3; and Beam 3 all feature a screen on their charging cases. So in this article, let’s talk a bit about the newly launched JBL Live Buds 3, its design, specifications, expected price in Nepal, and availability. 

JBL Live Buds 3 Overview:

The JBL Live Buds 3 is a part of the new Live 3 series which includes similar TWS earbuds like the Beam 3 and the Flex 3. They offer a similar feature set with slightly different form factors while not deviating from the price.

Design and Display

The first thing you notice about JBL’s Live Buds 3 is of course– the display. It’s a 1.45-inch LED touch display that can show notification alerts, act as multimedia control, or even view texts and calls. Whether it's a gimmick or super useful is for you to decide, but hey it’s there and it’s in your face. Moving onto looks, while its Beam and Flex siblings adopt a stick design with either larger drivers or longer battery life, JBL Live Buds 3 features a bud-shaped form factor with an ergonomic fit. It’s a closed-type TWS earbud with silicon tips and a rectangular speaker unit. It also comes with an IP55 dust and splash resistance rating for those sweaty workouts or running sessions.

Sound and Battery Life

JBL Live Buds 3 is equipped with 10mm dynamic drivers with support for high-res audio via LDAC. It also supports JBL Spatial Sound for an immersive audio experience. The new Live Buds 3 also features True Adaptive Noise Cancellation, but the exact details of its strength haven’t been disclosed.

As for endurance, the buds should last you for about 10 hours without ANC. With the case, you can hope to get about 40 hours of playback. Moreover, they charge pretty fast as well where a quick 10 min plug will yield about 4 hours of audio.

Some other cool features include wireless charging and a total of 6 microphones for clear audio pickup. Live Buds 3 also comes with Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio compatibility. You also get a ‘Multipoint Connection’ to pair up with multiple devices simultaneously and seamlessly switch between them.
