
Vivo is preparing to expand its brand by introducing a sub-brand Jovi. This series is aimed at offering affordable entry-level smartphones with the first being the expected Jovi Y39 5G. With this, Vivo will operate two different subbrands: ‘Jovi’ and ‘IQOO’ all while continuing to sell under its own name as well.
Jovi Y39 5G Overview
Recently, a new device with the model number V2444A appeared on Geekbench, and it’s expected to be the Jovi Y39 5G. This phone is likely to come as a successor to the Vivo Y38 5G and will feature 5G connectivity. The Geekbench listing reveals that the device achieved a single-core score of 912 and a multi-core score of 2,214.
What we know so far
The listing provides some key details about the phone’s specifications. The expected Jovi Y39 5G will feature an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.21GHz, likely the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.
The device is also equipped with an Adreno 613 GPU. The tested unit features 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 15.

Given that this phone is likely going to be a successor to Vivo Y38 5G we can speculate some additional features beforehand. In terms of battery life, the Jovi Y39 5G could come with a 6,000mAh battery, supporting 44W wired charging. The display is expected to be a 6.68-inch LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the camera setup might include a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera.
