Towards the end of 2024, we have a new gaming laptop in town. Dubbed the Lenovo LOQ Essential Gen 9, this laptop packs 12th-gen HX Series processors and up to RTX 4050 GPU. Design and Display

The LOQ series are affordable gaming laptop series from Lenovo. So, this LOQ Essential Gen 9 laptop sports a generic design, falling short of an actual gaming vibe with RGB and such. So, it has a basic White backlit keyboard and weighs 1.77kg. On the display side, there is a 15.6-inch IPS LCD panel with FHD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. This 16:9 display supports 100% sRGB and 300nits of brightness.

Performance

On the interior, the Lenovo LOQ Essential Gen 9 machine has two CPU and three GPU options. You can either choose between a Core i5-12450HX processor or a Core i7-12650HX processor with 8 cores and 12 threads from 2022. In terms of graphics, you can choose between RTX 2050, RTX 3050, and RTX 4050 mobile cards. Moreover, there is a single SO-DIMM slot that is configurable with up to 16GB 4800MHz DDR5 stick. As for the storage, it is upgradeable with up to 1TB PCIw Gen 4 SSD.
