A couple of new Thinkbooks and ThinkPads just landed in Nepal and we are on the way to giving each of them their own spotlight. While the modern ThinkPads were certainly exciting, and the Yogas had a unique value proposition, the ThinkBooks we are covering today have a little less intrigue to them. Regardless, these are pretty good notebook-style devices so let’s take a quick look at the spec sheet and official prices of the Lenovo Thinkbook 14 G7s in Nepal alongside with their availability details.
Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G7 Overview
Design and Display
The ThinkBook is an ultraportable series of notebooks designed for home and office use with a sleek aluminum top and lightweight body weighing just 1400 grams. There’s only a single Artic Grey colorway but it looks pretty nice with a dual-tone design.
As for the display, you get a WUXGA (1200p) resolution screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and 45% NTSC colors. Thankfully, you get up to 300 nits of max brightness making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. There’s also a higher-end 100% sRGB version but it still has the same brightness and refresh rate levels.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, you can either pick between the Ryzen 5 or the Ryzen 7 chipsets but they aren’t the latest or greatest. The Ryzen 5 7535HS and Ryzen 7 7735HS are both Zen 3 processors with 6 and 8 cores respectively. Although not the most powerful, these are efficient AMD processors that should provide a good balance between power and efficiency.

Although the Intel models haven’t made it here yet, you can expect Intel variants (G7 IML) to ship with a mix of U and H series Meteor Lake (Core Ultra) chips. Memory-wise, you can configure these ThinkBooks with up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM alongside two M.2 2280 drives for SSDs.
Battery and Connectivity
Powering the whole thing is a 60Wh Lithium Ion cell that can be juiced up via the 65W USB-C adapter provided in the box. Lenovo says that you can charge your Thinkbook 14 G7 to 80% in just under 1 hour while a full charge can last up to 17.7 hours of video playback. For connectivity, there’s a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two Type-A ports, an HDMI, an ethernet jack, an SD card reader, and finally the headphone jack.

The Lenovo ThinkBooks will boot on Windows 11 Home/Pro on startup and have an FHD webcam up top with a privacy shutter. There are dual down-firing speakers with support for Dolby Audio alongside an optional backlit keyboard and a Mylar touchpad. There’s WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity.
