      POCO C95 Pro

POCO has expanded its C-series lineup with the launch of the new C95 Pro. As the successor to the POCO C85, the new model continues the company’s focus on delivering a feature-packed smartphone at a relatively affordable price point.

      Key Highlights

      • The POCO C95 Pro features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
      • It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
      • The phone packs a 7,500mAh battery with 45W turbo charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging.
      • It comes with a 50MP main camera, IP64 rating, stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The C95 Pro brings several changes over its predecessor, with POCO focusing on areas such as battery life, performance, and the overall user experience. It also retains some of the C85’s core characteristics, making the new phone more of an evolution than a complete redesign.

The phone has now launched in select markets, with Singapore being among the first. Let’s take a closer look at the POCO C95 Pro, what has changed from the C85, and its expected price and availability in Nepal.

      POCO C95 Pro Overview

      Design and Display

The POCO C95 Pro follows a familiar budget-phone design with a large display on the front and a rectangular camera module on the back. It measures 170.12 × 78.42 × 8.8mm and weighs 232 grams. The phone is available in three color options: Black, Blue, and Green. It also carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

For the display, the C95 Pro features a large 6.9-inch HD+ panel with a 1,600 × 720-pixel resolution. It supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz for smoother scrolling and animations, while the brightness can reach up to 825 nits in HBM for better visibility in brighter conditions.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free viewing, and circadian-friendly use. It also offers a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz.

      Performance and Cameras

The POCO C95 Pro gets a performance upgrade over the C85, moving from the latter’s Helio G81-Ultra to the newer MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra. It is an entry-level 4G chipset designed for everyday tasks, social media, media consumption, and light gaming. It is paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

The 8GB variant also supports Memory Extension, providing up to 16GB of virtual RAM by using part of the internal storage. Storage can additionally be expanded by up to 2TB through a microSD card.

On the software side, the phone runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3. The C95 Pro therefore moves to a newer software generation compared with the C85, which launched with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

For photography, the C95 Pro has a 50MP primary rear camera with a 5P lens and an auxiliary lens. It supports features including Night, Portrait, HDR, and Dual Camera Recording. At the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera. Both cameras can record video at up to 1080p at 30fps.

      Battery and Other Features

The biggest upgrade over the POCO C85 comes in the battery department. The C95 Pro packs a 7,500mAh battery, which is 1,500mAh larger than the 6,000mAh cell on its predecessor. Charging has also increased from 33W on the C85 to 45W on the C95 Pro.

The phone also supports up to 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing it to charge compatible accessories and other devices. POCO claims up to 28 hours of video playback and up to 91 hours of music playback.

Other features include stereo speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5.4, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. It also supports 4G connectivity rather than 5G.
