Moto G17 unveiled with FHD+ IPS display and IP64 rating

Motorola has unveiled the Moto G17 and Moto G17 Power. The base model comes with similar specs with a smaller battery, and that's all. Here in this article, let's get into the specs, features, and expected Moto G17 price in Nepal.

Moto G17 Overview:

Design and Display

To begin with, the Moto G17 boasts a flat frame body with a square camera module at the rear. It weighs 189.9g. You get an IP64 rating for dust and splash protection, and it comes in three colors: Pantone Bordeaux, Alaskan Blue, and Evening Blue.

In terms of display, it features a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. 

Performance

Powering everything in the Moto G17 is the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, the same as on the G17 Power. This 12nm fabbed chip features an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores (up to 2.0GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores (up to 1.7GHz). It uses the Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU at 820MHz. However, it runs on Android 15, not the latest Android 16. You get 4GB or 8GB RAM alongside 128/256GB of internal storage, with Motorola’s RAM Boost enabling virtual expansion. It also supports microSD cards up to 1 TB for ample storage.

Camera, Battery, and Others

Also, the optics remain the same as the G17 Power. So, you get a primary Sony LYTIA 600 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a basic 5MP ultrawide sensor for wider imagery. The Moto G17 features a 5,200mAh battery that supports 18W TurboPower fast charging through a USB Type-C port.

Moreover, the Moto G17 has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a 3.5mm jack for wired audio. It supports Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, NFC, FM radio, and uses USB Type-C for fast charging and data transfer.
