Moto G56 5G launched with Dimensity 7060 SoC and 50MP camera

Alongside the Motorola G86 5G, the company has updated its budget-friendly lineup with the Moto G56 5G. This new model replaces the Moto G55 5G and brings several noticeable upgrades. Here in this article, we'll talk about the specs, features, and expected price of the Moto G56 5G in Nepal.

Moto G56 5G Overview

Design and Display

The Moto G56 5G brings in a typical Moto vibe design, with a protruding camera lens in a square camera module on the back instead of the G55’s rectangular one. The phone is a bit heavier now, with 200 grams compared to the earlier 182 grams. Moreover, it comes with dimensions of 165.75 x 76.26 x 8.35mm. At the front, the phone carries a 6.72-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution (2400×1080 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Plus, it comes with Gorilla Glass 7i for protection from scratches and drops. On top of that, it is rated IP68/69 for dust and water resistance, which is surprisingly good for this segment.

Performance and Battery

Inside, the Moto G56 5G runs on a new MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chip built on a 6nm process. It includes two Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz. There’s also an IMG BXM-8-256 on the GPU side. Furthermore, memory-wise, Moto has paired this chip with 8/12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Thankfully, users can also expand storage up to 2TB with a microSD card through a hybrid SIM slot. On the software end, it boots on Android 15 with Motorola’s Hello UI on top. Meanwhile, fueling the smartphone is a 5200mAh cell with 30W of wired fast charging support.

Talking of the optics, the Moto G56 packs a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera, which should make selfies and video calls much clearer. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a USB-C port, stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC in select regions.
