Design and Display

The latest Moto offering comes with the older design language from the company. This phone comes with a squircle camera bump with a significant protrusion. This is a step away from recent Moto offerings that hadthe camera bump seamlessly blend into the phone's back. The Moto G64 5G comes in a 3D Premium PMMA body and offers an IP52 water-repellent design.

You get a 6.5-inch display on the front with an IPS LCD panel. Additionally, it spans FHD+ in resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The Moto G64 5G screen is surrounded by sizable bezels, especially on the chin area. It is available in three finishes: Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Ice Lilac.

Performance

Under the hood, the Moto G64 5G comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 chipset. This is the first phone in the world to feature this chipset. It has eight cores, 6nm fabrication, and a peak clock speed of 2.5GHz. Looking at it, the new chip is a slightly overclocked variant of the Dimensity 7020.

Other than that, this phone ships in two configurations. The lower one comprises 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM. Meanwhile, the higher configuration comes with 12 gigs of memory and 256 gigs of internal storage. Both variants support up to 1TB of external storage. On the software side, the Moto G64 5G boots on Android 14 with My UX on top. The company promises one OS update and three years of security patches on this phone.

Camera and the rest

In the optics department, it comes with a dual camera setup on the back while having a single front-facing camera. The rear camera includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS support, coupled with an eight-megapixel ultrawide shooter.
