Moto is on a spree of launching new phones these days. Now, the company has introduced its next model, the Moto G86 5G. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor and a 6720mAh battery. In this article, we’ll look at the specs, features, and expected price of the Moto G86 5G in Nepal.
Moto G86 5G Overview
Design and Display
In terms of design, Moto 86 5G has a clean monotone back, a rectangular camera island, and the classic Moto logo in the center. The phone’s body measures 161.21 x 74.74 x 8.65mm and weighs just 185 grams, making it easy to hold and carry. This time, it arrives in some bold color options: Pantone Spellbound, Pantone Chrysanthemum, Pantone Cosmic Sky, and Pantone Golden Cypress.
On the front, the device shows off a 6.67-inch FHD+ 10-bit curved pOLED screen. With a 120Hz refresh rate, using the screen will feel smooth and fast. And something that really stands out is the 4500 nits peak brightness. Likewise, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i keeps it protected from scratches and minor drops. The phone also carries an IP68 rating and MIL-STD 810H certification, which is excellent for durability and dust/water resistance. And yes, you get an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking.
Performance and Battery
Powering the Moto G86 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, which runs at 2.5GHz. That’s a solid upper mid-range processor, and it pairs well with the Mali G615 MC2 GPU to handle graphics and gaming. Users can choose between 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and between 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Plus, there’s a microSD slot for expansion, which is always a useful addition.
The phone runs on Android 15 right out of the box, and Moto promises 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches. In terms of battery, it is fueled by a 5200mAh cell. And while it supports 33W turbocharging, it would’ve been nice to see faster charging at this price.
Camera and Other Features
As for the cameras, Moto equips the G86 5G with a 50MP main camera. It uses the Sony LYT-600 sensor, has a wide f/1.8 aperture, and supports OIS, which helps in low light and shaky hands. Alongside, there’s an 8MP ultra-wide lens that also works as a macro shooter. Up front, the 32MP selfie camera should deliver sharp and detailed images, especially in good lighting.
When it comes to features, Moto includes all the essentials: USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos sound, and dual microphones. For connectivity, the phone supports 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, USB-C, and NFC.
