Two Names, Same Chip?
While the top of the top-of-the-line Edge 50 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the Edge 50 Fusion comes with weaker Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processors. Looks like Motorola has adopted Samsung’s strategy to ship with different processors depending on the region. But fret not because the case is not as bad as Exynos vs Snapdragon! In fact, the SD 6 Gen 1 and SD 7s Gen 2 are almost identical chips with slight differences in clock speeds. So, no matter the region, you’ll be getting comparable performance.
The smartphone ships with up to 12GB of memory and up to 512GB of storage. Meanwhile the smartphone boots on Android 14 out of the box with Hello UX skin on top.
Design and Display
The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion sports a Pantone-validated 6.7” POLED fhd+ display with a 120/144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Talking about the design, the 50 Fusion comes with glass in both the front and the back, while you only get plastic in the frames. Moreover, It is IP68-rated and is available in forest blue, Hot Pink, and Marshmallow Blue colors.
Motorola Edge 30 Fusion Under the hood, the Motorola 50 Fusion houses a generous 5000 mAh battery and gets its juice from a 68W fast-charging brick. Meanwhile, the device also comes with stereo speakers and NFC support.
Camera
On the camera end, you get a 50MP primary camera with a Sony LYT-700C sensor and OIS support, accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide camera. Similarly, on the front side, you’ll also get a 32MP one for selfies and video calls.
