MWC Aether One launching soon in Nepal with sporty design

MWC, the Nepali OEM brand is gearing up to release the Aether One Pro smartwatch. It's a sport-centric wearable powered by Open HarmonyOS and AMOLED display. Here in this piece of news, we'll get into the specs, features, and official price of the MWC Aether One Pro smartwatch in Nepal.

Design

As aforementioned, the MWC Aether One Pro boasts a sporty outlook. It's not entirely metal, with some plastic elements between the frame, but it does feel sturdy. Plus, during use, it's not that hefty on my hands. 

You get not two but four navigation buttons here, which adds more charm to its sportiness. MWC is also generous enough to include two straps here: a black-and-orange silicone strap and a brown PU leather strap. In terms of ingress protection, it offers 5ATM waterproofing. You can even use it in showers, and it's good to go! And that also indicates a dive into a pool, without having to worry at all!

Display

This guy sports a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with high contrast and deeper blacks, with 466 x 466 pixels. And during my tests, its brightness was also enough for a sunny day. Another good thing to note here is its 60Hz refresh rate, which keeps navigation fluid. MWC says it's protected by “Shield High Hardness”, but I'd always advise using a tempered glass.

Performance and Open HarmonyOS

Talking about the performance side, MWC hasn't disclosed the exact chipset; all we have are the teasers that mention Next Gen AI with Adaptive Preprocessing. But what's sure is that it has 2GB of NAND flash memory that supports MP4 files with up to 45MB in size.

In terms of software, this watch boots into Open HarmonyOS, a Huawei-backed open-source project. So, you get a very smooth software experience here with tons of features like calculator, E-book, Gallery, Meeting Notes, and such.

You get the usual heart rate monitor, blood oxygen monitor, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, female physiological cycle tracking, sedentary reminders, ChatGPT integration, and over 100 sports modes. What's even more notable is the inclusion of an altimeter and a barometer, which is rare in this price range.
