Google Nano Banana Pro launched with Gemini 3 Pro for Advanced AI Image generation

Google has introduced Nano Banana Pro, an advanced AI-powered image generation and editing tool built on the Gemini 3 Pro model. The tool promises to enhance the visualization of ideas with real-world knowledge integration and improved reasoning capabilities. And my first thought seeing all those images was "hmm.. why are we doing this to ourselves?" But regardless of my existential concerns about AI-generated art, now let's jump into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Nano Banana Pro, including its capabilities, features, and availability.

Reasoning and Real-World Knowledge

Nano Banana Pro is Google's latest AI image generation tool powered by Gemini 3 Pro, the company's AI model designed for advanced reasoning and knowledge integration. The Nano Banana Pro can pull real-time data from Google Search and bake it into the images it generates. So you can get weather snapshots, sports updates, and even recipes with cooking visuals that actually reflect current information. Google says this makes it useful for educational explainers, infographics, and diagrams. 

Text Rendering in Images

If you've used AI image generators before, you know text rendering has always been a mess. Gibberish letters, weird distortions, the works. And adressing exactly this problem in existing AI models, Nano Banana Pro supposedly handles this better, supporting accurate and legible text across multiple languages. This could be handy for mockups, posters, and long-form text content. You can also localize and translate content for different audiences.

Visual Creation

The tool lets you blend up to 14 images while keeping things consistent for up to 5 people. You can also turn sketches into photorealistic 3D structures.  On the customization side, you get control over camera angles, focus, lighting, and color grading. Output goes up to 4K with multiple aspect ratios supported.

AI-Generated Image Verification

Google has baked SynthID digital watermarking into all images generated with Nano Banana Pro. You can upload any image in the Gemini app to check if Google's AI made it. For now, this only works with images. Audio and video verification are apparently coming later. Free and Pro users will see a "Gemini sparkle" watermark on their images, while Ultra subscribers and Google AI Studio users won't have this visible mark.

Nano Banana Pro Availability and Access

You can find Nano Banana Pro in the Gemini app under [creates app -> thinking]  model, and it's available globally, though free users get limited quotas while Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers get more to play with.
