Price hike alert: The Nothing Phone 3a Lite is now costlier than ever in Nepal

Nothing Phone 3 (review) was one of the most controversial phones of the year, and it largely disappointed the audience. The British phonemaker then launched the Phone 3a Lite in Nepal with a similar design a while ago. Unfortunately, the "RAMpocalypse" has come for every smartphone brand in the world, and this Nothing phone has seen a notable price jump as well. Now, let's jump into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Nothing Phone 3a Lite, including its latest official price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Nothing Phone 3a Lite Overview

Display and Design

The real looker here is the design. So the Phone 3a Lite has a sorta-similar camera design as the regular Phone 3, but Nothing has replaced the "Glyph Matrix" with a tiny Glyph Light on the bottom right corner.

This LED indicates notifications when the phone is face down, supports custom sequences for contacts, and acts as a visual countdown for the camera timer, too. Moreover, Nothing has also placed a simulated battery design on the back, which is purely for aesthetic purposes. The phone weighs about 199 gm and carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Performance and Software

Powering the Phone 3a Lite is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chip, the same chip we first saw on the CMF Phone 2 Pro (review).

Being a tried-and-tested processor, you can expect reliable performance. In our testing with the CMF Phone 2 Pro, games like PUBG and Mobile Legends ran smoothly at around 90 fps, while Genshin Impact on high settings in 45 fps mode averaged about 40 fps. Although the device did get quite warm.

The 3a Lite has 8GB of RAM, and storage options include 128GB and 256GB. Which is also expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card. It runs Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15, with 3 years of major OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

Camera and Battery

Similarly, the Phone 3a Lite can record 4K 30 fps, 1080p 60 fps, and 1080p slo-mo at 120 fps videos. It is powered by Nothing's "TrueLens Engine 4.0", while it also supports features like Portrait Optimiser, Ultra XDR, and Night Mode. You get a 5,000mAh battery here that supports 33W wired charging and 5W reverse wired charging.
