Nothing Phone (4a) found on UAE's TDRA certifications

The Nothing Phone (4a) has now appeared on the UAE’s TDRA certification website, a strong hint that its launch is not far off. It is poised to come with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC. Here in this article, we'll walk through the leaks and rumors surrounding the Nothing Phone (4a).

The certification, dated January 22, 2026, lists the device under model number A069 with the registration ER55923/06. 

Pokémon Codenames

Reflecting Nothing’s playful spirit, internal codenames are once again inspired by Pokémon. If the model number hints at anything, the Phone (4a) might be codenamed “Bellsprout,” which is number 0069 in the Pokédex. If previous trends continue, Nothing may soon start posting subtle Pokémon hints on social media to build anticipation.

Performance

Earlier leaks from developer MlgmXyysd provide a clear overview of the hardware. The standard Phone (4a) is expected to feature the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while the Pro model will upgrade to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Both processors offer a significant improvement over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 found in the Phone (3a) series. A key difference between the two is connectivity: eSIM support is rumored to be exclusive to the Pro version.

Not only smartphones

In addition to smartphones, Nothing is apparently expanding its audio product range. The company is reportedly developing Nothing Headphone (a), an over-ear headphone designed to be more budget-friendly. These headphones are expected to feature a plastic construction and bold design, with color options including Pink and Yellow along with the standard Black and White.

With certifications already arriving and leaks filling in most of the gaps, the Nothing Phone (4a) series now seems to launch pretty soon. If Nothing sticks to its typical pattern, official teasers should begin surfacing shortly, with launch hinted at March.
