Oppo Find X9 Ultra debuts globally with a dual 200MP periscope camera and a huge 7,050mAh battery!

Breaking the traditional norm of delaying international launches for its flagship devices, Oppo has officially introduced its all-new “Oppo Find X9 Ultra” globally. It features a dual 200MP camera system co-developed with Hasselblad, a 10X periscope telephoto lens, and a massive 7,050mAh battery. So yeah, in this article, I will discuss everything you need to know about the Find X9 Ultra, including its specs, features, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra Overview:

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra has a retro camera aesthetic, similar to that of the Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition. It is available in two color options: Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange (Rongsha Canyon). The Tundra Umber variant features a textured matte organic grey-green eco-leather back for improved grip, while the Canyon Orange has a canyon light-inspired metallic orange finish. Note that in China, there is a third option, the Velvet Sand Canyon, which uses a fiber back panel with a matte finish and a textured pattern, and is also slightly thinner and a gram lighter than other variations.

This time, we also have a Snap Key, a dedicated button for shortcuts such as taking screenshots and opening the camera, similar to the X9 Pro, and a Master Shutter button finished in vibrant Hasselblad orange, inspired by the X2D 100C Earth Explorer Edition, which works as a dedicated camera shutter with a satisfying tactile response. 

Exclusive to the Tundra Umber finish, you also get a Hasselblad Logo Bar as a tribute to the X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition.

Talking about the display, the Find X9 Ultra comes with a 6.82-inch AMOLED panel with a 94.6% screen-to-body ratio and a sharp QHD+ resolution of 3168×1440 pixels. Here we also get an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz for smooth everyday use, and can reach up to 144Hz in select gaming scenarios. The touch sampling rate also reaches up to 300Hz.

In terms of brightness, you get 800 nits for normal use and 1,800 nits in high brightness mode, which is more than enough for outdoor visibility. Moving on to color accuracy, the display covers 100% DCI-P3 with 10-bit color depth and also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, so everything looks rich and vibrant whether you are streaming or editing. On top of that, we also get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection.

Camera

Now, to the most exciting part, the camera. The Find X9 Ultra packs a total of 5 cameras on the back and it is honestly one of the most capable setups on any smartphone right now. You get a 200MP main camera with a massive 1/1.12-inch Sony sensor and f/1.5 aperture for stunning low-light photos, a 200MP 3x telephoto that also doubles as a macro camera, a 50MP 10x periscope telephoto with up to 120x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide covering a 123-degree field of view. Additionally, the phone also comes with a 3.2MP monochrome lens.   

On the front, there is a 50MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture capable of 4K video at 60 fps. Together, these cover 8 different focal lengths from wide to super telephoto. On the rear, video recording goes up to 8K at 30 fps, 4K at up to 120 fps, and supports Dolby Vision, slow-motion up to 480 fps, OIS/EIS stabilization, 10x optical zoom, and 30x digital zoom.  

World’s first 50MP 10X telephoto camera 

Find X9 Ultra brings what Oppo says is the world’s first 50MP telephoto camera with true 10x optical zoom. And the way they have achieved this is pretty impressive too. This 10X telephoto camera uses an industry-first quintuple-prism reflection periscope structure. In simple terms, light is reflected five times inside the camera module, allowing Oppo to fit a much longer zoom lens without making the module even bulkier. And it’s not just about hitting 10x optical zoom. Oppo says this design also helps reduce distortion and light loss, while still making room for sensor-shift optical image stabilization. So whether you are shooting at 10x, 20x, or beyond, the Find X9 Ultra is designed to deliver steadier photos and especially more stable videos.

OPPO Hasselblad 300mm Explorer Teleconverter

As an optional accessory, Oppo also offers the OPPO Hasselblad 300mm Explorer Teleconverter, a dedicated lens attachment that brings a 300mm native focal length, 690mm optical-quality reach, and an f/2.2 aperture with OIS+EIS stabilization for sharp, stable super-telephoto shots.

OPPO Lumo Engine & Hasselblad Partnership 

The Find X9 Ultra also introduces Oppo’s new Lumo imaging engine, which uses the CPU, GPU, and MPU in parallel for faster and more efficient image processing. Oppo says this helps when capturing full-resolution 200MP photos, as well as while shooting high-end video formats like 8K at 30fps or 4K at 120fps in log. 

Oppo’s partnership with Hasselblad has also entered its fifth year, and that collaboration continues to shape much of the Find X9 Ultra experience. Oppo says the influence goes beyond just the camera app, extending to the phone’s design, the signature shutter sound, the orange accent, and the overall photography identity of the device. 

On the camera side, the Find X9 Ultra also gets a new Hasselblad Master Mode. Oppo claims this mode is designed to deliver more natural tones, more realistic colors, better shadow detail, and less aggressive processing. In other words, it aims to offer a cleaner and more authentic photographic look with less reliance on heavy AI tuning.

Battery

For the battery, the Find X9 Ultra has a massive 7,050mAh battery to keep you through the whole day of heavy use. It is paired with 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging, and for flexibility, the phone also supports 50W of wireless charging.

Oppo also pairs it with its own Trinity Engine for more fluid multitasking and a direct memory architecture that reduces camera load and power drain. The device can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, offering you more than enough space for your photos, videos, and other files. To keep thermals in check, the phone also features a 3D Cryo-velocity Cooling System.
