Design and Display

In terms of design, the M8 Pro 5G looks very similar to the Redmi Note 15 Pro+. You get a curved quad body with an 8.31mm middle frame and a square camera module. It also secures a double IP rating: IP68 and IP8 for dust and water resistance.

Flipping to the front, there is a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Covering 12-bit color depth, the display also supports 3200 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 3840Hz PWM dimming.  On top, you get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection as well.

Performance

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC powers everything, just like on the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. This 4nm fabbed 5G SoC boasts one core Kryo Prime (Cortex-A720) at 2700 MHz, three cores Kryo Gold (Cortex-A720) at 2400 MHz, and four cores Kryo Silver (Cortex-A520) at 1800 MHz. Meanwhile, handling the graphics here is an Adreno 810 GPU. 

POCO has paired the chip with 8/12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Software-wise, it boots on HyperOS 3 built on top of Android 16.
