Poco Pad launched with Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset 2.5K IPS display

Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco has just launched its latest tablet named Poco Pad. This tablet features a larger 2.5K display with a midrange processor. In this article, we will discuss the latest Poco Pad, including its expected price in Nepal, and specifications.

Poco Pad Overview

Design and Display

The new Poco Pad measures 7.5 mm in thickness and weighs 571 g. It features a glass front made of Gorilla Glass 3, an aluminum frame, and an aluminum back. The Poco Pad comes with an IPS LCD display capable of showing 68 billion colors. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision, with a peak brightness of 600 nits in high brightness mode. The screen size is 12.1 inches, providing a screen-to-body ratio of approximately 83.4%. The resolution is 1600 x 2560 pixels, offering a 16:10 aspect ratio and around 249 pixels per inch density. 

Performance

The Poco Pad runs on Android 14 with HyperOS. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, built on a 4 nm process. The CPU is an octa-core configuration with four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.40 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.95 GHz. The GPU is the Adreno 710.  The internal storage is 256GB paired with 8GB of RAM, utilizing UFS 2.2 technology.

Camera 

The main camera is an 8 MP wide sensor with an aperture of f/2.0, featuring a 1/4.0" sensor size. It supports 1080p video recording at 30fps. The front-facing camera is also 8 MP with an f/2.3 aperture, a 1/4.0" sensor size, capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps.

Additional Features

The Poco Pad comes with various sensors, including an accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensors (for accessories), and a compass. The tablet is equipped with stereo speakers, featuring four speakers in total. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. The tablet is powered by a 10000 mAh non-removable battery. It supports 33W wired charging and is compatible with PD3.0 and QC3+ charging standards.

The Poco Pad is available in two colors: Dark Gray and Blue. With an early bird offer, the Poco Pad launches at USD 299, and after the promotional events, its price will fall back to USD 330. When it arrives here, we expect the Poco Pad price in Nepal to be NPR 50,000.
