POCO X7 goes official with Dimensity 7300 Ultra SoC and 50MP camera

Poco has finally taken the curtain off from the Poco X7 Series containing two models: the Poco X7 and the Poco X7 Pro. And turns out, that both are the rebrands of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ respectively as expected. This article will focus on the vanilla Poco X7, its specs and features, alongside the official price and availability.

Poco X7 Overview

Design and Display

In terms of design, the Poco X7 takes a lot of cues from the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. So, you get the squarish camera module with individual circular modules protruding out from the body. As expected, the big POCO branding gets imprinted on the bottom side.

So, the display is a 6.67-inch OLED 12-bit OLED panel with 1.5K resolution. It boasts a fast 120Hz refresh rate, 3000nits of peak brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR 10+, and TÜV Rheinland for eye protection features. Furthermore, it also borrows the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and IP68 rating from the Note 14 Pro.

Performance

Under the hood, the Poco X7 is powered by Dimensity 7300 Ultra SoC. It features four Cortex-A78 cores at 2.5GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. While a Mali-G615 MP2 GPU handles the graphics department. Moreover, it is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, booting the Poco X7 is HyperOS 2 built on top of Android 15, the first device alongside the X7 Pro to boot on this new Xiaomi software.

Camera

In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a triple camera setup. Likely, a combo of a 50MP Sony Light Fusion-600 main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide sensor,r, and a 2MP macro unit. Meanwhile, for selfies and video calls, there is a 20MP front snapper. In terms of videos, the rear camera can shoot up to 4K res videos at 30fps while the selfie camera is restricted to 1080p 30fps recording.

Battery, Charging, and Others

Fueling the Poco X7 is a 5500mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Connectivity features include 5G, VoNR, WiFi 6, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C port.
