Apple MacBook Air M4 15-inch

Apple recently launched the new MacBook Air with the M4 chip. It’s faster, supports more displays, comes in a new color, and is now available in Nepal.

Apple MacBook Air 15 M4 Overview

The MacBook Air M4 brings better speed and more display support while keeping the same slim and light design. It’s also made with more recycled materials and starts with more memory than before.

Design and Display

The MacBook Air M4 looks the same as the previous model—thin, light, and portable. It now comes in four colors: Midnight, Starlight, Silver, and a new Sky Blue. Apple has removed the Space Gray option. All models include a color-matched MagSafe charging cable. The 13-inch model measures 11.97 x 8.46 x 0.44 inches and weighs 1.24 kg, while the 15-inch version is 13.40 x 9.35 x 0.45 inches and weighs 1.51 kg. A big improvement is that it can now connect to two external 6K displays even with the lid open. The 13-inch model has a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with 2560×1664 resolution, and the 15-inch model has a 15.3-inch display with 2880×1864 resolution. Both support True Tone and 500 nits brightness. Apple has also added an optional Nano-texture glass to reduce glare, a feature that was earlier only on iPad Pro and MacBook Pro.

Performance and the rest

The MacBook Air M4 comes with Apple’s latest M4 chip, which has a 10-core CPU and up to a 10-core GPU. It now starts with 16GB of RAM, upgradable to 32GB, and storage begins at 256GB. Apple says it’s up to twice as fast as the older M1 model, and AI (Neural Engine) tasks are up to three times faster. Battery life is the same as before—up to 18 hours of web or video use—but more power-efficient thanks to the new chip. The battery is also more eco-friendly, made with 100% recycled cobalt and over 95% recycled lithium.

Camera and Features

The MacBook Air M4 has a 12MP front camera with Center Stage, which keeps you centered during video calls. It also supports Desk View to show your desk from above while you're on a call. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. For ports, it includes two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports and a headphone jack. The laptop has four speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, plus three microphones for clearer voice calls.m
