Design and Display 

The new MacBook Pro 14-inch retains the design introduced in 2021. It features a casing made from 100% recycled aluminum. The dimensions are 1.55 cm * 31.26 cm * 22.12 cm, with a weight of 1.55 kg for the M4 model. Customers can choose between two color options: Silver and Space Black. The device is equipped with a Liquid Retina XDR display. It supports a sustained brightness of 1000 nits and peaks at 1600 nits for HDR content. The display also offers ProMotion technology, allowing for adaptive refresh rates of up to 120Hz.

Processor

The new MacBook Pro M4’s core is the M4 chip, which includes a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU. The M4 chip provides notable speed enhancements, being 1.8 times faster than the 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro in gigapixel photo editing and 3.4 times faster for rendering complex scenes in Blender. It also features a 16-core Neural Engine, which is three times faster than the M1.

Ports and Memory

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro includes three Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports, MagSafe 3, HDMI, an SDXC card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This is an increase from two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports in the base M3 model. The base memory has been upgraded to 16GB, up from 8GB in the previous model.
