Apple's biggest and most expensive iPhone of 2023, iPhone 15 Pro Max is now available in Nepal. It brings a massive 6.7" Super Retina XDR OLED display with the "Dynamic Island" hole-punch cutout, alongside a revamped camera system and more. The upgraded camera array on the iPhone 15 Pro Max now consists of a 5X telephoto zoom lens over last year's 3x. Besides that, the 48MP primary sensor, and 12MP ultrawide are the same. You can now shoot ProRes video directly to an external SSD thanks to the USB-C port (10 gigabits per second). As expected, the iPhone 15 Pro Max alongside iPhone 15 Pro is powered by the all-new 3nm A17 Pro chip. It also boasts a big 4,323mAh battery, which is interestingly slightly smaller than what you get on the cheaper iPhone 15 Plus.

Build and Display

The new iPhone 15 Pro Max now sports a titanium alloy frame which not only makes it more durable but lighter as well. Pair that with the slightly curved edges, and the newer Pro Max is much more comfortable in the hand compared to its predecessor. The entire 15 lineup ditches the iconic lighting port for the universal USB-C port. In the 15 Pro Max, this should allow for faster data transfer and charging speeds.

The display panel itself seems unchanged but the bezels are even slimmer this time around. The screen is a 6.7 inch "Super Retina XDR" OLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,000 nits of peak brightness, 2796 x 1290 resolution, and a pixel density of 460 ppi. It’s got the same “Ceramic Shield” display protection too.

Processor

Under the hood, the iPhone 15 Pro Max features the all-new 3nm A17 Pro chipset. This Apple Silicon features 6 CPU cores alongside 6 GPU cores and a 16-core Neural Engine. Apple promises up to 20% improved GPU performance which should help with gaming and graphically intensive workloads. Although unofficial, the 15 Pro Max ships with 8 GB RAM which is an increase from the 6GB in the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Cameras

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has a triple camera layout on its back. Led by the 48MP primary shooter, the 12MP ultra-wide and 12MP telephoto act as complementary lenses. The telephoto camera has been upgraded from 3X zoom capable to 5X zoom capable using a "tetraprism" design. Over the front, you'll find a 12MP selfie camera housed in the Dynamic Island alongside the True Depth sensor for Face ID.

Others

Other features include support for up to 10 gigabits per second data transfer speeds thanks to the USB-C port and USB 3 controller on the A17 Pro chip. There's also satellite connectivity for emergency SOS, crash detection, and roadside assistance. Connectivity options include the same Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 6E, dual-frequency GPS, and NFC. There's a second-gen UWB chip which should help with improved Ultra Wide Band connections.
