iPhone SE 2022 Overview:
Technically, iPhone SE (2022) is the cheapest iPhone in circulation today. However, only the 128GB variant of the phone is currently available in Nepal, which is closer to the base 64GB variant of the iPhone 11 in terms of pricing.
Design and Display
As mentioned earlier, you won't find any difference between the new iPhone SE (2022) and its predecessor on the surface. As with the other two that came before it, Apple has used the same iPhone 8's form factor for the third iPhone SE. Thus, we get a 4.7-inch Retina IPS LCD panel with an HD resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. The screen has an oleophobic coating to resist and boasts a maximum brightness of up to 625 nits. Towards the bottom of the screen, iPhone SE (2022) retains the iconic Home button, complete with the Touch ID. At the back, there is a single 12MP wide camera, accompanied by an LED flash. The phone is available in three color options: (PRODUCT)RED, Starlight, and Midnight.
Performance
Contrary to design, the new iPhone SE (2022) brings some massive improvements on the inside. For starters, it is powered by the A15 Bionic chip that can be found in the latest iPhone 13 series. This SoC features an octa-core CPU, with two performance cores and four efficiency cores. Further, it also brings a 4-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. In terms of battery, the latest iPhone SE packs a 2018mAh cell with support for 20W fast charging. Unfortunately, there is no support for any wireless charging protocol.
Camera, Others
iPhone SE (2022) has a total of two cameras. The one on the back has a 12MP sensor and an f/1.9 aperture. It comes with support for Optical Image Stabilization and Focus Pixels Autofocus. It is capable of recording 4K videos at up to 60 fps and can take 8MP still photos even while recording. Over on the front, the 7MP selfie camera comes with advanced bokeh and depth control for portraits. The video capability is capped at 1080p 30 fps. There is no OIS but it does support cinematic video stabilization for 1080p and 720p.
