Samsung Galaxy A55 5G Overview
Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G gets a bit of design retouch without deviating much from the classic “Galaxy design” we are familiar with. The design tweaks include the use of aluminium as the choice of material, a flat frame, and integration of “Key Island” as we saw in the Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G. The colour options include Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lemon, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy.
On the front, you are getting a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED screen. It stretches 1,080 x 2,340 pixels achieving an FHD+ resolution. Meanwhile, you get a 120Hz refresh rate, a colour depth of 16M, and 1,000 nits brightness. In addition to that, the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and an IP67 rating.
Performance and the rest
Under the hood, this phone packs the in-house Exynos 1480 chipset. This processor has eight cores and a peak clock speed of 2.75 GHz. Moreover, Samsung says the phone comes with an improved GPU, NPU, and an integrated cooling system. In addition to that, you get up to 12GB of memory and up to 256GB of storage. You can expand the storage up to 1TB. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G offers you four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.
In the optics department, you get a 50MP primary shooter. It is further coupled with a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro lens. In the meantime, you get a 32MP selfie camera on the front. This phone draws its power from a 5,000 mAh cell with 25W charging capability.
