The Galaxy S24 FE follows Samsung’s familiar design language, bearing a strong resemblance to all its other offerings. It features the well-known "traffic light" camera layout and flat frames, which add a bold, modern look. Curved edges on all sides give it a more ergonomic feel in hand. The phone is built with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back. With this, the phone offers robust protection against everyday wear and tear. Additionally, the device boasts an IP68 rating, making it dust and water-resistant. However, it isn’t quite as premium in build quality as the standard Galaxy S24. On the front, the Galaxy S24 FE is equipped with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. This panel delivers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 1900 nits peak brightness, making it a great choice for vibrant and sharp visuals, even under bright sunlight.
Performance and the rest
Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 FE runs on the Exynos 2400e chipset, a slightly downclocked version of the Exynos 2400 found in the main S24 series. The only difference is a 100 MHz reduction in clock speed on the Cortex-X4 core, resulting in just 4-5% lower benchmark scores. It comes with 8GB RAM and three storage options: 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB, although there’s no expandable storage. On the battery front, the S24 FE offers a 4700 mAh capacity, supporting 25W wired and 15W wireless charging, along with Wireless PowerShare. The phone also benefits from Samsung's stellar software support, shipping with Android 14 and One UI 6.1. Samsung promises seven years of OS and security updates, solidifying its long-term value. Furthermore, you get all the cool Galaxy AI features as well. Lastly, the phone boasts a versatile triple camera setup: a 50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, and 8MP telephoto lens, alongside a 10MP selfie camera.
