      Razorpay World's First AI Studio

Taking the stage at Razorpay's flagship event FTX'2026, it announces the launch of the world's first agent studio using the Claude agent SDK in India on March 12. In this article, I will discuss Razorpay's background, its newly built AI studio, and its pros and cons.

Razorpay World's First AI Studio Overview

      Razorpay Background

Razorpay is an Indian fintech platform that offers a one-stop solution for businesses to manage their entire payment ecosystem. As the workload grows, proper and efficient management of the business is always the talk of the town. In the past, payments were managed manually, which required a great deal of time. Over time, tools and technology are introduced to the business to save time.

So, using a tech-oriented approach, Razorpay also introduced a B2B agent on its platform to automate payments for businesses as part of its official team, built with Anthropic's Claude agent SDK. We can experience the management of the commerce challenge, starting with the recovery of failed payments to settling the consumer dispute before it gets out of hand. Now, no merchant will need to sit and struggle to manually resolve a failed subscription.

      Inside Razorpay AI-Studio

Razorpay takes the stage at FTX'2026 and showcases its four ready-to-launch AI agents. It includes Dispute responder, cash flow forecaster, abandoned cart conversion, and subscription recovery agents as of now. These agents will directly access data within the platform's system and perform their roles.

We also hear from the CEO of this company, who confirms that they will integrate this tool to understand and monitor their revenue flow, resolve payment issues, and unlock insights across billions of transactions in real time. The company's claim is that we can also build our own agent in the studio. With this, we can use simple, plain English to build the agent without relying on a complex code ecosystem. After our instruction, the studio will create an agent that will instantly start managing our task. If plain English can provide the output without code, then I feel that the merchant's involvement with basic knowledge will also increase on this platform.

      Razorapay Agentic Experience

At the same event, Razorpay also demonstrated the AI-native layer developed with Claude. This tool will mainly interact with Razorpay in a more interactive way. They inform us that this platform will come with three main functionalities: agentic Onboarding, a dashboard, and Integration. We also hear from Anthropic India's managing director that AI integration in the operating fabric of business will be a great example for the future.

From this innovation, I feel that while the build agent will make the task flow simpler and dispute resolution easier, there will be a gap in trust-building that will make it difficult to fully rely on the agents to access real-time data. I feel the merchant's dependence on the agent will also increase, which may entail uncertain financial risks in the future.

Razorpay World's First AI Studio: Conclusion

Razorpay's partnership with Anthropic suggests that integrating AI tools into business operations is a new way to manage workflows more efficiently. We will have access to the real-time flow of money at our fingertips. The work will be simplified, allowing us to focus on other aspects of the business. Apart from the positive aspect of the AI integration in the business, we should not forget the risks that will come with it. So, sensible use of the AI platform is always a positive aspect for business growth.
