The new Realme Note 80 is a budget phone with a big battery!

Realme has quietly launched the Note 80 in Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines, reviving its Note series with a straightforward budget phone built around a large battery and military-grade durability. Let's get into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Realme Note 80, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Realme Note 80 Overview
Design and Build

The Note 80 comes in Glacier Blue and Storm Black. It has a flat-frame design, measures 7.94mm thick, and weighs 197g. The durability story is actually one of the more interesting things about this phone. It carries MIL-STD-810H certification with what Realme calls ArmorShell protection, rated to survive drops from up to 1.8 meters. On top of that, there's an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
There's also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a waterdrop notch up front for the selfie camera, and a microSD slot for storage expansion.
Display
It features a 6.74-inch LCD with HD+ resolution (720x1600), a 90Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 563 nits in High Brightness Mode. Typical brightness is 450 nits. Touch sampling rate goes up to 180Hz, with 120Hz as the default.
HD+ on a 6.74-inch panel is the same trade-off as on the Realme C83 5G. It's a cost-saving decision that shows up in pixel density, which comes in at 260 PPI. Perfectly fine for most content, but text and fine detail won't be as sharp as on a 1080p display. The 90Hz refresh rate keeps scrolling feeling fluid, and 563 nits is adequate for outdoor use in most conditions. The panel uses Corning Glass with Panda MN228 protection.

Performance
The Unisoc T7250 is an octa-core chip with a Mali-G57 GPU. It's not a chip you see often. Unisoc processors sit at the entry level of the market, and the T7250 is designed for basic daily tasks rather than anything demanding.
For calls, messaging, social media, and video streaming, it can handle things with ease. Gaming beyond very light titles is where it starts to show its limits. Similarly, RAM is 4GB LPDDR4X with storage options of 64GB or 128GB eMMC 5.1, and there's a microSD slot if you need more space. The phone runs Realme UI based on Android 15. One thing worth noting is that this is essentially a repackaged Narzo 80 Lite 4G that launched in India last year, with minor differences for the Southeast Asian market.
Camera

On the camera side, you are getting a single 8MP rear camera with f/2.0, autofocus, and an LED flash. It shoots up to 1080p at 30fps and covers the usual modes: Night, Portrait, Panorama, Dual-view video, and Google Lens. Up front, a 5MP camera handles selfies. There's not much to say here beyond what the specs suggest.
Battery and Charging
You are getting a 6,300mAh battery with 15W wired charging. Realme claims the battery retains 80% health after four years of daily use, which is a longevity claim that's unusual to see called out at this level.
