Xiaomi Unveils Redmi 14R with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 120Hz Display

Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 14R, featuring a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a high-refresh-rate display, and a large battery. The smartphone brings solid performance at a budget-friendly price point. Display and Design

The Redmi 14R features a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. It also has support for wet touch. Talking about the design side of things, Redmi has opted for Waterdrop instead of Punchole found in most phones in this price range. Moreover, the bezels are also on the thicker side. 

Performance and Features

Powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, the phone comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, which can be expanded by up to 1TB using a microSD card. It runs Android 14-based HyperOS out of the box. The Redmi 14R includes a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio connectivity.
