New Redmi earbuds with spatial audio will soon be available

Xiaomi just listed a new earbuds under its Redmi sub-brand. These audio accessories will have support for spatial audio while still being available at a more affordable price point. Let's discuss the Redmi Buds 6S in further detail including its expected price in Nepal.

Design

The latest Redmi earbuds come in a semi-in-ear fit with a stemmed design. These buds have a slight slit on the top of the hearing unit, whose purpose is unclear. In terms of finishing, the Redmi Buds 6S comes in a mix of glossy and matte textures. The company has created a sort of ovular matte boundary adding a uniqueness to the design of these buds. In the meantime, they lay flat inside their charging case which is rectangular with curved edges. It flaunts the company branding on its lid, which appears to be slightly reflective. Other than that, it has a USB Type-C port on the front for charging. Redmi has not mentioned any sort of IP rating for the Buds 6S or its case. Hence, it is probably not resistant to dust or water. Besides, the whole package is available in Clear White Snow, Midnight Black, and Star Ocean Blue colour options.

Audio and the rest

The audio on the Redmi Buds 6S is handled by 14.2mm dual dynamic drivers with 0.45mm amplitude. These earbuds boast the NetEase Cloud Audio certification for clear sound quality. Additionally, they pack dual-microphone offering background as well as wind noise reduction during calls. Furthermore, you even get two levels of noise reduction as per your needs. These earbuds offer simultaneous dual device connection and further accessibility via the Xiaomi Earbuds app. Other than that, these earbuds also come with a handful of features exclusive to high-end Xiaomi and Redmi devices. This includes the likes of Spatial Audio, SoundID custom sound effects, and Xiaomi Hyper Connect audio streaming. Lastly, Redmi claims seven hours of independent and 33 hours of combined battery life on the Buds 6S at 50% volume.

Redmi Buds 6S Price in Nepal and Availability

The latest Redmi earbuds have been listed on Xiaomi's official website, however, it is marked as “Coming Soon”. Hence, it isn't shipping just yet. However, we do have pricing for the thing, and it is CNY 199. Based on that, if they ever make their way here, we expect the Redmi Buds 6S price in Nepal to be NPR 4,499.
