      Redmi Note 15 5G Overview

      Display and Design

Starting with the design, this year the Redmi Note 15 Series gets the same format: curved body and a square camera module. In terms of display, it has a decent display with an IP65 and IP66 dust/splash resistance and a thin-and-light body, measuring 7.35mm thick and weighing just 178 grams. The display is a 6.77-inch 12-bit curved AMOLED panel, slightly larger than the 6.67-inch flat AMOLED panel on the Redmi Note 14 5G. It boasts 3,200 nits of peak brightness for HDR content as well.

The panel also supports a fast 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and an optical in-display fingerprint reader. Likewise, it supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming for this screen, alongside TÜV Rheinland's eye-care certification for comfortable use at night. Whereas it's got a stereo speaker setup with an interesting 300% volume boost feature.

      Performance and Software

This time, Redmi has chosen Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4nm process. This brings a considerable performance upgrade over MediaTek chips that Xiaomi went with on both the Redmi Note 14 5G (review) and the Redmi Note 13 5G (review).

And Xiaomi has paired it with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, while also leaving room for a microSD card in case you'd wanna add more. In terms of software, the all-new Redmi Note 15 ships with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 based on Android 15
