Samsung unveils its 2023 lineup of premium and budget soundbars

Samsung has officially launched its 2023 lineup of premium soundbars and home theater systems. Under this, the company has updated its flagship Q series and the more affordable C series of soundbars. So let’s get right into the key features and expected price in Nepal of the 2023 lineup of Samsung soundbars.

Samsung 2023 Soundbars: Overview

Q series

As mentioned above, Samsung’s most premium soundbars fall under the “Q” series. Samsung has launched the successor to its flagship Q990B soundbar from last year in the form of Q990C. It has 11.1.4 channel audio which consists of 11 front-facing speakers, 1 subwoofer, and 4 up-firing channels. Alongside this, Samsung has added other members to its 2023 lineup of “Q” series soundbars: Q800C, Q700C, Q600C, and Q60C.

All these soundbars support Q-Symphony 3.0, which lets you synchronize all speakers from the home theater setup and your Samsung TV for richer harmonies and more immersive sound. They also feature Wireless Dolby Atmos and “SpaceFit Sound Pro” which analyses the ambient space in your room and tunes the sound to deliver the best audio experience.

C series

On top of this, Samsung updated its affordable “C” series of soundbars with the C450 and C400C. These soundbars support DTS Virtual: X which is similar to Dolby Atmos to create “spacious 3D sound putting you at the center of the action for an elevated and immersive home theater experience”.

The C450 also includes a separate subwoofer for deep bass and rich low frequencies. They all have “Game Mode” and “Adaptive Sound” features that add to the experience as well. Lastly, they come with Samsung’s “One Remote” control.

• Dolby Atmos: a multichannel surround sound technology that provides immersive spatial audio
• Wireless Dolby Atmos: a feature to transmit Dolby Atmos content without an HDMI cable
• DTS X: another surround sound technology that provides all-around spatial audio
• DTS Virtual: X: similar to DTS:X sound, but with height virtualization to deliver spatial surround with or below 2.1 speaker layout
• Adaptive Sound / Lite: dynamically optimizes audio of your content for clarity and depth (especially in dialogues and gaming)
• Tap Play: a feature to play sound on your soundbar by tapping it with the back of your Galaxy phone

Note: All these features won’t be available on all Samsung 2023 soundbars

Samsung 2023 Soundbars Price in Nepal and Availability

As for the price, the flagship Q990C goes for USD 1,899 while the most affordable entry, C400, costs USD 139 in the US. We expect the price of Samsung 2023 soundbars in Nepal to be NPR 299,999 for Q990C and NPR 21,999 for C400 if and when they launch here.
