Samsung Galaxy A07 gets a price hike in Nepal

Samsung’s budget-friendly Galaxy A07 5G, which has been available in Nepal for several months, is now seeing a price hike. Despite its impressive features and specifications for the segment, the updated price may surprise some buyers. Here’s a look at the Galaxy A07 5G’s key features, specifications, and the new official price in Nepal.

Design and display

Samsung offers three color options: Green, Light Violet, and Black. The A07's design is clean and similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A06, although Samsung has now used Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) for the back panel.

This budget phone is also pretty handy, measuring just 7.6 mm and weighing about 184 grams. It's IP54 dust and splash-resistant as well.

Up front, the Galaxy A07 features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display witha 90 Hz refresh rate. But unlike most budget phones these days, Samsung is still sticking with the age-old teardrop notch.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, we have the MediaTek Helio G99 chip. The base model features a 4G processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. While its memory-maxed variant has double the RAM and 4x the storage. We also know it ships with Android 15-based One UI 7, and Samsungpromises 6 years of software and security updates for this phone.

Cameras and battery

As for the optics, the Samsung Galaxy A07 has a 50MP rear camera with a 2MP macro lens. And for selfies, there is an 8MP camera. This budget device is also powered by a 5,000 mAh batteryand can be charged with a 25W charger that Samsung provides for free.

Should you buy the Samsung Galaxy A07 in Nepal?

The Galaxy A07 was a very value-for-money phone at its launch price, with the Helio G99 powering the core, delivering very good performance in the segment. During our tests, its camera performed well in daylight conditions, more than enough for casual photography and video calls. And the six years of updates add long-term reassurance.

But the price hike has put it into a new competitive range. Since the 4/64GB is not really practical today, and given the prices of 4/128GB and 6/128GB, you can also consider other options like the Moto G45 (8/128GB) at NPR 24,999 if you need better performance in this price range.

The Samsung Galaxy A07 is now available in Nepal, priced at NPR 18,999 for the 4/64GB variant. Likewise, the 4/128GB and the 6/128GB variants cost NPR 22,499 and NPR 26,499, respectively.
