At CES 2026, Samsung pulled back the curtain on its latest lineup of laptops: the Galaxy Book 6 series. The new models mark a major leap forward with Intel’s 18A Core Ultra processors. Display
Regarding the displays, the Book 6 Ultra and Book 6 Pro stand out with Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreens that can adjust between 30Hz and 120Hz depending on the content, ideal for gaming, video editing, or smooth scrolling. They also feature Gorilla Glass DXC, which reduces reflections by up to 75%, and boast impressive brightness levels: up to 500 nits for SDR and 1,000 nits for HDR, plus a True Bright 1300 certification for vibrant, accurate colors. Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy Book6 keeps things simple with an IPS LCD and 350 nits of brightness, available in 14″ and 16″ sizes.
Performance and Cooling
Powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 3 series, these laptops feature up to 16 CPU cores and a 50 TOPS NPU, delivering performance up to 60% faster than earlier models. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra can be equipped with Core Ultra X7, X9, or 7 series processors, in combination with Intel Arc or NVIDIA RTX 5060/5070 GPUs, up to 64GB RAM, and 2TB PCIe SSD storage.
The Book 6 Pro includes Core Ultra X5, X7, or X7 chips with Intel Arc graphics, supporting up to 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD. The standard Book 6 is aimed at everyday users, offering Core Ultra 5 or 7 processors, integrated graphics, 16–32GB RAM, and 256GB–1TB storage.
The 18A Intel silicon on the Pro and Ultra laptops is supported by an advanced cooling system with vapor chambers—larger in the Ultra—and fins that increase efficiency by 35%. The redesigned fan has a bigger inlet grill for better airflow. This system lowers temperatures and noise. Meanwhile, the Book 6 has an active cooling system but lacks the larger vapor chamber.
Design and Ports
Despite the powerful hardware, these laptops remain sleek and portable. The 14-inch Book 6 Pro measures 11.6mm thick and weighs 1.24kg, the 16-inch Pro is 11.9mm and 1.59kg, the Ultra is 15.4mm thick and 1.79kg (1.89kg with NVIDIA GPU), and the vanilla Book 6 ranges from 14.9mm / 1.48kg for 14-inch to 14.9mm / 1.75kg for 16-inch.

The Pro and Ultra models include Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB-A, HDMI 2.1 (8K@60fps, 5K@120fps), SD card reader, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Meanwhile, the vanilla Book 6 provides USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet, microSD, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4.
