Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G price in Nepal

Samsung's Galaxy M series has always been the brand's answer to users who want reliability without the flagship price tag, and the Galaxy M17e 5G — launched today in India — continues that tradition with a few additions that make it stand out even within that crowded space. Let's get into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G, including its price in India, specifications, and availability.

      Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G Overview

      Design and Build

Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G design and display

The M17e 5G measures 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 199g, and it actually feels pretty solid thanks to its GFRP back. Unlike regular plastic, even at this price, it has a more rigid, structured feel, so despite its weakness, cheapness isn't the one you are going to feel in your hand. Similarly, you also get IP54 dust and splash resistance. The side buttons sit in a clean key island design, and as expected, you also get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. If you were thinking of something like an under-display optical fingerprint, then it's bad luck, because that sensor only comes in midrange phones. Anyway, the phone comes in Blitz Blue and Vibe Violet.

      Display

The display features a 6.7-inch HD+ (720 × 1600) PLS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, which remains one of the phone's strongest arguments for itself. HD+ at this screen size means pixel density settles around 260 ppi. Hence, it's definitely not going to be pin-sharp as one might expect, but that's a visible trade-off if you're watching high-resolution content up close. And oh by the way, Samsung has itself claimed the M17e 5G is the segment's smoothest smartphone under INR 14K.

      Performance

      Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G

The M17e 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, built on a 6nm process with 2 Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz. It’s a chipset you’ll see in a lot of budget phones, and Samsung seems to like it for good reason — it hits a sweet spot between performance and efficiency at this price. But It's also reasonable, as there are hardly any other chipset that can come as close to the Dimensity 6300 for its price, which is at the same time efficient and functional.

Of course, it’s not made for heavy gaming, but for social media, streaming, light photography, and everyday use, it’s more than enough. Thermal management is surprisingly solid too, and it doesn’t overheat easily. You also get up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is pretty standard these days.

      Cameras

The phone features a dual rear camera setup. Meaning a 50MP main sensor at f/1.8 with PDAF, paired with a 2MP depth sensor, which is very modest these days, and Samsung might not also be pretending otherwise. The 50MP resolution will give you decent pictures, especially in good light, however, low-light performance will be average, as it is across this price segment without OIS or a larger sensor. The 8MP front camera at f/2.0, featuring in the M17e  is functional enough for video calls.

      Battery and Charging

The 6,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging is one of the phone's headline specifications, and rightly so. Samsung claims up to 26 hours of video playback — the longest in this segment, which, even under real-world conditions, still translates to a phone that doesn't charge for a whole day. 25W wired charging gets the phone to full in roughly two hours, which, to be honest, is pretty slow by 2026 flagship standards, but it meets the expectations nevertheless .

      Software

The M17e 5G ships with Android 16 and One UI 8, which puts it ahead of much of its direct competition on launch day alone. The more consequential number, though, is six — six years of OS upgrades and six years of security updates. That's a promise that extends this phone's life into the early 2030s, and it's a commitment that Redmi, Realme, and most other budget players in this range are still not matching. Moreover, Circle to Search, Gemini Live, and the Now Bar from One UI 8 are all present as well.
