Samsung Nepal introduces a new 24-month EMI plan for Galaxy S26 series and A-series smartphones.

Samsung Mobile Nepal has long been a pioneer in EMI services. In fact, Samsung was the first brand in Nepal to introduce easy EMI options with just a citizenship document, making smartphones far more accessible to a wider audience.
As a result of this move, the EMI adoption rate grew rapidly. While many other brands eventually followed suit, Samsung’s EMI system still stands out and for good reason. And now Samsung has expanded its EMI option by introducing a 24-month plan, upgrading from the earlier 12-month option. The 24-month plan, however, doesn't come with a 0% interest rate, unlike the 12-month plan.
Why Samsung’s EMI Still Leads
One of the biggest advantages Samsung offers is its Knox security system, which offers a safe and secure financing process. Unlike other smartphone brands, especially Chinese brands, you don’t have to unbox the phone and install any third-party APKs, making it more secure and hassle-free.
Samsung Nepal now Offering 24-Month EMI
Samsung has introduced a 24-month EMI facility, upgrading from the previous 12-month option. This new extended EMI package is available for the latest Galaxy S26 series, which includes the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra.
It also includes older models from the A-series, like the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. And we can expect upcoming models like the A37 and A57 to also come with this 24-month EMI facility. With this move, monthly payments are significantly reduced, almost cut in half, making premium Galaxy smartphones more affordable than ever.

So, if you are planning to buy a phone like the Galaxy A56 on a 24-month EMI plan, you only have to pay an installment of around Rs. 2,000 per month. And for something as high-end as the S26 Ultra, it comes to around Rs. 6,000 per month on EMI. Of course, you still have to pay a 40% down payment. Overall, I think this is a fantastic move by Samsung.
| Model | MRP | Loan Amt | 12 Mo EMI | 24 Mo EMI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S26 (12GB/256GB) | 133,999 | 80,399 | 6,700 | 3,636 |
| S26+ (12GB/256GB) | 182,999 | 109,799 | 9,150 | 4,965 |
| S26 Ultra (12GB/256GB) | 212,999 | 127,799 | 10,650 | 5,779 |
| A36 5G (8GB/128GB) | 53,999 | 32,399 | 2,700 | 1,465 |
| A56 5G (8GB/256GB) | 71,999 | 43,199 | 3,600 | 1,954 |
Hopefully, other brands will also bring similar EMI options. Right now, in the flagship segment, brands like Vivo don’t even offer EMI on their X series. Likewise, Apple offers EMI on its iPhones with citizenship as a document, but the process is a bit tedious, and interest rates can range from 9% to 14%.

Final Thoughts
Samsung’s move to introduce 24-month EMI at a very low interest rate, combined with Knox-level security, is a major step forward for the Nepali smartphone market. Hopefully, other brands will follow soon.
