Sony Xperia 5 V is official with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 52MP EXMOR T camera

After the launch of the Sony Xperia 10 V in June, a new Sony phone is here. The Japanese tech giant has unveiled a flagship phone with the Xperia 5 V moniker. In this article, we'll walk through the specs, features, and expected price of the Sony Xperia 5 V in Nepal.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

The Xperia 5 V gets the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip from Qualcomm. This tried and tested 5G silicon is already powering multiple flagship devices in the market. It features one Cortex-X3 core at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex-A715 cores at 2.8 GHz, two Cortex-A710 cores at 2.8 GHz, and three Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0 GHz. Running the graphics is an Adreno 740 GPU. Memory-wise, the Xperia 5 V is available in an 8/128GB trim. You can expand the storage via a microSD card slot. Meanwhile, booting the phone is Android 13 OS for the phone. Design and Display

Design-wise, the Xperia 5 V sports a flat metallic frame build with curved edges. Sony has ensured an ergonomic experience with a fingerprint-free frosted glass rear panel. Other than that, the phone also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. Likewise, you get three color options here: Black, Platinum Silver, and Blue. Talking of the display, the Xperia 5 V features a notch-less 6.1-inch panel with Sony's typical 21:9 aspect ratio. It shoots 12MP images by default at 24mm while, also being able to capture 2x optically zoom images at 48mm. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide unit. While on the front, there is a 12MP selfie camera with 5-axis gyro-EIS stabilization.
