      It's been a more than a year since Tecno debuted in the foldable market with the launch of the Phantom V Fold and Phantom V Flip. Now, the company is prepared to unveil the next generation with the upcoming release of the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2.       Last month, Tecno released its first teasers for the upcoming smartphones. Although the company has yet to make an official announcement, a report from SpillSomeBeans suggests that the devices will launch in Ghana soon. The publication has also leaked several images, providing insights and fueling speculation about the Phantom V Fold 2 and Phantom V Flip 2.

      Design and Display

      Starting with the V Fold 2, it features a sleek 5.5mm foldable design. The cover screen measures 6.45 inches, while the main display unfolds to 7.85 inches, with both panels boasting AMOLED technology and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the device supports a stylus known as the Phantom V Pen.

      Turning to the Phantom V Flip 2, a notable change is the new rectangular cover screen, now measuring 3.64 inches. The main display is a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED panel, also with a 120Hz refresh rate. For protection, this smartphone comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

      Performance

      For the performance, it looks like both of these smartphones will power the same chipset as their predecessors. The V Fold 2 will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+, while the V Flip 2 will feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8050.

      For the camera, the Tecno Phantom V Fold 2 boasts a triple rear featuring a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP portrait lens. For the front camera, this phone will come with a 32MP front camera. In contrast, the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2 has a dual-camera configuration on the back, consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera, complemented by a 32MP selfie camera. When it comes to battery life, the V Fold 2 stands out with its massive 5750mAh battery. This makes it the largest battery in a foldable phone ever. It also supports 70W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. However, there is no information regarding the battery capacity of the Flip series.
