Vivo unveils S17 series with 120Hz curved AMOLED, 50MP AF selfie camera

Vivo recently announced the latest S17 series with 50MP front-facing camera in China. In addition to the previously announced Vivo S17e, the new series contains three models: the Vivo S17 Pro, the Vivo S17, and the Vivo S17t. Here's a rundown of what to expect from these new devices. Design and Display

Vivo S17 series has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 60° curvature at the edge. The trio sport an FHD screen that refreshes at 120Hz. All three Vivo S17 devices feature a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus, dual soft LED flash, and zoom features. The Vivo S17 series provides new color choices, such as Mountain and Sea Green, combining traditional painting with particle ink technology. They also include an Aura light which is a larger and brighter ring LED, this improves the overall design aspects.

Performance and Memory

As for performance, the three phones are all powered by different chipsets. The Dimensity 8200 chipset powers the Vivo S17 Pro, the Snapdragon 778G+ powers the S17, and the Dimensity 8050 chipset powers the S17t. The Vivo S17 series is configurable with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phones pack a 4600mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging.

Camera

Talking about the cameras, the Vivo S17 Pro features a triple unit setup, consisting of a 50MP IMX766V primary, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 12MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom for portraits. It also comes with Optical Image Stabilization. Vivo S17 and S17t sport, on the other hand, feature just two cameras at the back. The primary camera consists of a 50MP sensor with OIS. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultrawide lens. All three phones feature ring lights alongside an LED flash panel.

Vivo S17 Series Price in Nepal (Expected)

The Vivo S17 is the series' most affordable option, starting at CNY 2499 (approx NPR 46,500) for the base 8/256GB variant. The option with 12/256GB storage costs CNY 2,799 (approx NPR 52,200). The Vivo S17t comes in a single variant with 12GB + 512GB storage. It costs CNY 2,999 (about NPR 55,800). The Vivo S17 Pro is the most expensive option available. It is offered in three variants: 8/256GB storage, 12/256GB storage, and 12/512GB storage. These variants cost CNY 3,099 (approx NPR 57,600), CNY 3,299 (approx NPR 61,400), and CNY 3,499 (approx NPR 65,000), respectively.
